Welcome to Antrim Borough Special Olympics Basketball Club.
Located in Stiles Community Centre, Antrim Town, Co Antrim. Antrim Borough Special Olympics Basketball Club was Established in May of 2007 and since then the Club has focused on regular sports training for its athletes. The club is open to children and adults with an intellectual disability within the community. All Athletes who attend the club develop through sports participation, make new friends and achieve their maximum potential. The Club meets every Tuesday night in Stiles Community Centre Antrim from 7.45pm – 9.30pm if you are interested in finding out more about the club come along and see us. Athletes can start training from the age of six and compete in competitions from the age of eight. Junior athletes are aged from eight to fifteen and senior athletes are aged sixteen years and over. In order to run a Special Olympics Club in the Antrim area we continually need volunteers, if you are interested in getting involved with a volunteer group within the community then come along and see what our club is all about you need not have played Basketball or have any sporting qualifications. |
